Labette County FFA Veterinary Science Team Named State Champions

Launch the media gallery 1 playerALTAMONT, KS - The Labette County FFA Chapter is proud to announce that its Veterinary Science team has emerged as the state champions at the 2023 State Veterinary Science competition, which was held at Kansas State University.
The team, consisting of Macy Clevenger, Camden Farrow, Cecillia Newby, and Aaliyah Tun, competed against 283 highly competitive contestants during the event. All four members from Labette County placed in the top ten, with Newby placing 8th, Farrow 7th, Clevenger 3rd, and Tun clinching the top spot as the state champion.
Contestants were required to complete a written test on veterinary medicine, calculate veterinary medicine problems, and identify various breeds of animals and tools/equipment related to veterinary medicine.
As state champions, the Labette County FFA Veterinary Science team will represent the State of Kansas in October at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN.
